Nashville Y’all Check Out My Trip To Music City

Green Pheasant Nashville Intro Photo Love Toni Blanco Bleu Photography

Nashville, Tennessee. I made my way to Music City recently for a friend’s birthday weekend. Can I just say much fun it was? I was expecting to have fun but didn’t know it was going to be epic.

I have traveled so much; it is hard to find something new and exciting to do. Every single destination that is sought out these days has the trifecta. The trifecta is good food, music and great shopping. Sadly, while there was a plethora of great restaurants and places to shop there wasn’t enough time to do it all. However, I will share a few of the places we went to while we were there.

Cuisine in Nashville

While O-Ku was the last restaurant we tried, it was my favorite. It was in the adorable Germantown area of Nashville. I have been to so many sushi restaurants in my lifetime but this one was pretty awesome. It may be because we tried so many things while there. Usually, I stick to my favorites but we really got busy at this place. Out of all of the things we tried I am confident in saying that Black Magic was the group favorite.

We spent my friend’s actual birthday having dinner at a Steakhouse named Kayne Prime. Can I just say that the service and the food were both amazing. Our server, I can’t remember her name but she looked like —-. I tried my best to be good, but they had an amazing menu. With their extensive wine list and amazing appetizers, it was a great place for a celebration.

Shopping

One place I was the most excited about seeing was my favorites Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon. She has a store called Draper James. While there are lots of celebrities that have clothing lines or boutiques, I have always loved Reese Witherspoon’s style. I follow her on Instagram and met her at her book signing for Whiskey in a Teacup. I have actually bought Draper James and I recently bought an adorable little black dress for the trip from DJ.

Since Reese is a Southern girl, her store seemed like a fitting stop. She was born in New Orleans and her store reflects that southern/Nashville style. If you also like the actress and her style, definitely check it out if you make it to Nashville.

Project 615

There is also Project 615 I have been wanting to check out. Since its inception, Project 615 has donated nearly $1,000,000 to world-changing causes and local non-profits. Having read about them intrigued my interest but seeing their products aroused my shopping passion. Following Project 615 on social media has helped me get to know Nashville.

Additionally, I read that Jessie James Decker recently opened a store called Kittenish. It was close to where we were staying so we added that to the list.  We didn’t love the clothing, but the store is adorable and lots of Instagram worthy spots.

What took the trip over the top for us was the Drag Bus! My friends had to talk me into it but I am so glad they did. We were on the bus with another birthday group and a bachelorette party. We danced, got to meet some of the most talented performers and toured a small part of Nashville.

Honestly, I could go on and on. Mostly, I wish I could describe just how much fun we had. If you are looking for a place to visit, Nashville is so beautiful. The city is so clean and beautiful. If you want to get in touch with your nature side, party, listen to some live music or just do some shopping. Nashville seems to have it all.

There will be more travel and recommendations to come so keep checking in. Also, check out the five things I recommend you shouldn’t travel without.
