More and More I have heard that websites aren’t the way to go anymore. I am sure it has been more than once that I have been told you don’t need to have a website as a legitimate business anymore. Small business owners have started using things like Instagram or other outlets to feature their work or their products for public consumption.
Why Now
A few years back, I learned how to build Word Press websites. I thought it would be a compliment to my photography business. Unfortunately, it looks like I was late to the party. While I was learning a new skill it looks like people were simultaneously moving towards and learning alternatives to the traditional website. However, I decided to move forward with mine anyway. I am much more than a photographer and I didn’t want to send people to multiple social media pages. Therefore, Love Toni features all of my projects and Blanco Bleu Photography features some of my favorite shots that I am very proud of.
The Beginning
Blanco Bleu was born in 2010 but I love to tell people it was born when I was a child. The moment I got my first camera, I was hooked. I became the official recorder of family events and earned that title long before everyone wanted to be an influencer. Composing photos and creating moments is something I have always loved to do. Now, everyone that buys a $1000 camera thinks they are a photographer.
Social Media Yes or No
Sometimes, I regret not using social media to grow my business sooner. I have been on Instagram for more than ten years, yet I don’t have a lot of followers. Ironically, I have done some pretty cool things but just never put them on display to be seen. I have never pursued social media popularity and only recently made my pages public. However, social media equals clients and opportunities that I may have missed being a private person. While I love showing off my work, I have never really wanted to show off myself.
